The Lilydale Student Village is situated on Swinburne University's Lilydale campus, overlooking scenic Lillydale Lake, about 1 hour's drive from Melbourne.

The Village is a short walk from the academic buildings, leisure facilities and public transport connections.

The Leyshon Group in conjunction with Swinburne University of Technology, Lilydale, manages the Village.

The modern purpose-built Student Village has 100 beds available in 25 self-catering apartments. Each apartment contains four or five separately keyed bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge room. Sixty four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and thirty six bedrooms have "twin-share" bathrooms. A number of ensuite apartments have wheelchair access.

Each apartment is fully furnished containing kitchen/dining and living room furniture, a bed, desk, chair, draws, wardrobe, washing line, vacuum and ironing board. Students need to provide their own washing powder, iron, cleaning products and personal items. The village has a common room with a pool table, lounge area, large flat screen television with foxtel and dvd, public phone, laundry facilities, gym, wireless internet, outdoor BBQ and on-site private parking.

The village has a full time on-site manager and live-in caretaker on call 24 hours. The village is located on-campus and is walking distance to the Lilydale train station, supermarket, local shops and a one hour train ride to Melbourne CBD.

Each bedroom is wired for telephone. Students may choose to connect to a telephone company if they wish. Connection and user charges are the responsibility of the student.

The Village also offers a wireless internet service. Students must purchase their pre-paid data and top up on a pay-as-you-go basis.

What Students need to bring with them

The Village is self-catering and students live independently. Students need to provide their own cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and electrical appliances. Students can bring their own linen and towels or borrow linen from the Village (subject to availability and a linen fee).
