Housing Strategy

The Yarra Ranges Shire Council has commenced preparation of a ‘Housing Strategy and Action Plan’ (HSAP) which seeks to implement the Housing Strategy adopted by Council in 2000. A key objective of the Housing strategy is to:

“To achieve quality housing outcomes that meet the needs of current and future populations by providing a framework to integrate social and planing issues in relation to housing in a manner that protects the natural and built environment.”

The Centre for Regional Development developed a qualitative report, Housing Perception and experience in the Shire of Yarra Ranges based on 25 case studies in 2005.
